What items are in Big Walk?
The current item database documents eleven portable tools and carrying items: walkie-talkie, laser pointer, binoculars, megaphone, flares, whiteboard, cowbell, big golden head, flashlight, backpack, and holster. This is an evidence-backed Wiki count, not a claim that the game contains only eleven objects.
What does the walkie-talkie do?
The walkie-talkie changes how separated players communicate. Official sources confirm its crackling voice treatment and say text chat can use it too. An exact maximum range has not been published, so the Wiki does not present an invented distance.
Are the flashlight and torch the same item?
Yes. Players commonly search for flashlight, while the released build uses TorchProp naming. Both terms refer to the portable light item documented on the flashlight guide; battery duration, beam distance, and fixed spawn locations are still being tested.
How does carrying items work?
Portable equipment is handled as physical objects rather than a conventional inventory list. A player normally holds one object at a time and may drop it after a tumble. Backpacks and holsters appear to expand carrying options, but exact capacities are not yet treated as confirmed.
Are all Big Walk item locations known?
No. The item pages currently focus on identification, aliases, known uses, local mesh evidence, and unanswered mechanics. Locations and puzzle-specific solutions are added only after they can be reproduced in the released game.
What are world objects in the Wiki?
The world-object index covers data-derived object families such as gourds, key pieces, radios, signal flags, buoys, telescopes, microphones, and volleyball devices. Their presence is supported by the release build, while exact puzzle roles remain clearly labelled as unverified.
Players & sessions
How many people can play?
Two to twelve players can share a session. There is no full single-player mode.
Does Big Walk have split-screen or local co-op?
No split-screen or local couch co-op has been announced. Big Walk is an online cooperative game: the host starts a hosted session and friends join online with Join Codes or platform friends.
Can I play Big Walk solo?
You can start a session alone and explore, but there is no full single-player mode: the smallest world version expects at least two people, and puzzles are designed for a group. A session you host can be joined later by the group.
Does it have random matchmaking?
No. Big Walk is designed for a group that returns across multiple sessions.
How do saves work?
The host keeps the save. The same host must start the session when the group wants to continue that journey.
What are the 2, 3, and 4+ choices?
The host selects a version of the world adapted to the expected minimum group size. The overall maximum remains twelve.
How long is Big Walk?
A verified completion time is not available yet. The game is designed for multi-session journeys: the host keeps the save, and groups return to the same world over multiple walks.
Is there a Big Walk walkthrough?
Not yet. The wiki publishes item, object, and system evidence first, and adds walkthrough-style routes only after they can be reproduced in the released game.
Crossplay & chat
How do I join friends on another platform?
Use the short Join Code generated when the host starts a session. The host can find it in the host menu before starting, or under Session Details after the session begins.
Does Big Walk have cross-progression or cross-save?
Account-level cross-progression has not been officially announced. The confirmed rule is that the host owns the journey save and must return to continue it. The Steam listing includes Steam Cloud, but what it syncs is not yet documented.
Can I play without a microphone?
Yes. In-game text chat follows the same distance and environmental restrictions as voice chat.
Should we use Discord or another voice app?
The developers strongly say no. External calls bypass communication restrictions that the game uses for puzzles and comedy.
Is there an official Big Walk Discord?
No official Big Walk Discord server has been announced as of August 5, 2026. Fan-run servers exist but are not officially affiliated, and the developers still discourage using external voice apps during play.
