Big Walk controls: what is documented

Big Walk does not publish a full control-scheme table. This page records the player actions the official materials and the release build confirm, and clearly marks what is still unverified.

Confirmed player actions

  • Movement and exploration across a large open world, including walking, running terrain, and climbing rock formations shown in official key art and trailers.
  • Arms and gestures — pointing, waving, and flailing are described in official materials as a core way players communicate when voice and text are blocked.
  • Carrying and dropping objects — portable tools are handled as physical objects; a player normally holds one object at a time and can drop it during a tumble.
  • Voice and text chat — both follow the same distance and environmental restrictions; no separate toggles are documented beyond the game’s communication settings.

What is not published yet

No official per-platform button mapping (keyboard, controller, or touch) has been published as of August 6, 2026. This wiki does not invent key names or combos. A control-scheme table will be added once House House or Panic publishes official controls, or after reproducible in-game observations document the bindings.

Camera and settings

Official materials describe a third-person walker view in key art and trailers. Specific camera options, sensitivity settings, and accessibility remapping have not been officially documented yet; treat any specific setting as unverified.
