Character reference
The walkers, not a hero roster
Big Walk is built around a group of player-controlled walkers. Its public materials do not introduce a cast of named playable heroes, classes, or fixed abilities.

Playable character
The Walker
Every player joins the same cooperative journey as a walker. The important distinction is social rather than class-based: players bring voice, text, gestures, and found tools to solve problems together.
The installed macOS build contains shared body, head, torso, leg, and colour-related asset references. That supports a customizable player presentation, but does not establish named character types, cosmetic unlocks, or a character-ability system.
Can you customize your character in Big Walk?
The release build contains shared references for body, head, torso, legs, colours, and worn presentation effects. These names support a customizable walker framework, but asset data alone cannot show which choices appear in the player-facing menu, which options are available immediately, or whether any appearance is unlocked during the journey.
Does Big Walk have character classes or abilities?
No class roster has been announced. Public descriptions focus on the same social toolkit for every player: movement, arms and gestures, environmental voice and text chat, and portable objects found during exploration. The Wiki therefore treats walkie-talkies, binoculars, backpacks, and other equipment as separate item entries, not character-exclusive abilities.
Why there are no named-character entries yet
A good database should not invent a roster just to fill a category. When House House names individual characters—or when a repeatable in-game character distinction is documented—this page can expand with separate entries, images, and verified locations.
How characters affect multiplayer
Players are distinguished mainly by how they communicate and cooperate. A walker can point, wave, carry an object, become separated from the group, and use the environment to make speech harder or easier to understand. For the practical rules behind those interactions, use the game mechanics guide and voice chat guide.
Evidence note: public Big Walk materials describe cooperative players, arms, communication, and tools; the local build was inspected August 4, 2026 for shared character-asset references. No named playable-character roster is claimed.
